Wii-Fit

I’m loving the new Wii-Fit “game” - It’s a blast. However the game called me fat, well “overweight” but it’s the same thing, so I decided to set myself a goal of losing 20 pounds in 3 months (1.6 lbs a week) I wanted to make a section on the site to track my progress and I’ll update it weekly. I plan on doing 1 hour - everyday. I think it will be fun! Anyone care to join me and post up their results? Come on Aunt Kelly! *LOL* Check out what a difference a few pounds makes…

The Goal: 20 pounds in 3 months
Starting Date: 5/21/08 Ending Date: 8/21/08
Starting weight: 155 pounds Goal weight: 138 pounds
Starting BMI: 25.90 Goal BMI: 22.99

    I got my Wii-Fit *woohoo*
    Wow - I’m impressed and feeling the burn *L* I am so out of shape it’s not even funny! The yoga is alot harder than I thought it would be. I think I might actually lose a few pounds playing this “game” :)

    I’ve unlocked most of the activities now. I like the stepping and the jogging and a few of the yoga moves but I am trying to do them all each day for a variety. I used my pedometer while jogging and have figured out that a “short” run is .25 mile, a “long” run is .35 mile. I unlocked free jogging and island jogging - and will try these out tomorrow.

    My BMI /Weight dropped a tad today…Wii-Fit age: 34/ BMI: 25.60 / Weight: 153.7

    OK another update - maybe I’ll do it everyday *L* I’ve unlocked all the Yoga poses as of today. So I did each pose today (30 minutes) and I did 20 min of free step (2108 steps!*L*) and then I did 5 min of advanced running and 5 min of balance games. 1 hour total.
    Wii-Fit age: 30 / BMI: 25.56 / Weight: 153.4 (down .09 pounds from yesterday *woohoo*)

    Ok, I did some WII Fit for 20 minutes last night right before I went to bed. I am going to have to sit down and blog the data. I will probably do it tonight. I will have to work on getting some sort of routine down… :-)

    Ok, well, I will just give you my starting data from Monday 26th and today’s data, Wed 28th:
    Starting: Wii-Fit age: 32/ BMI: 27.61 / Weight: 140.7
    Today: Wii-Fit age: 30/ BMI: 27.70 / Weight: 141.1
    As you can see- the results have not started yet! LOL! I have been just playing a little every night. Tonight I played my most- a whole 41 minutes!!! I really enjoy the aerobic steps and I just unlocked the advanced option for that. I will give that a try tomorrow!!!

    Whew - Just got done with my workout. I got in another hour - but it was rough *L* I did 20 min of strength training. I’ve unlocked all but 2 now and let me just say that the “single-arm stand” is B.S! *lmao* I’m just sayin…I did 10 min of adv step aerobics, 10 min of free run (1.363 miles) and 20 min of free step (2289 steps)
    Wii-Fit age: 44 (I F.U the balance part *L*)/ BMI: 25.34 / Weight: 152 (down 1.31 pounds from yesterday) I need to lose 14.1 pounds to reach my goal.

    need 15.4 to my goal

    Today I did 30 min of yoga (all poses) , 10 min adv stepping, 20 min free run - which by the way is wrong. I used my pedometer today and checked the distances. According to wii-fit I ran 2.833 miles, but the pedometer says 1.57 miles (3340 steps) hmmmm?!

    Wii-Fit age: 36 / BMI: 25.45 / Weight: 152.8
    I skipped yesterday - I was sore *L* Today I did 22 min/strength training, 15 min adv. steps, 8 min yoga, 10 min free run (1.521 miles), 5 min balance games - an hour total. I also checked my pedometer - it’s crap and only counts half my steps - so I’m going off the wii counter from here on out. Today was my 8th actual workout day out of the 11 days I’ve had it and so far so good. I’ve lost 2.6 pounds already and seem to be losing at a slow but steady pace which is a good thing.

    Wii-Fit age: 40 / BMI: 25.42 / Weight: 152.6
    I skipped yesterday - well I forgot until it was to late actually *L* and today I started early…we’ll see if that will make a difference. This morning I did 30 min yoga, 20 min free run (3.038 miles) and 10 min free step with 3lb weights on my ankles (1.5 each leg)

    Well, I have been lazy and skipped a few days! Today I worked out 32 minutes. I am going to try to at least get in 30 minutes a day if possile this week. I did the advanced step aerobics for the first time- it took me a few minutes to figure out I was supposed to be kicking on the green feet! Anyway, here is my update for today:
    Wii-Fit age: 37 (I bombed the balance test!) / BMI: 27.61 / Weight: 140.7 My weight is just back down to when I started a week ago! :-)

    Wii-Fit age: 34 / BMI: 25.27 / Weight: 151.7 (-.09 lbs today)
    I did Yoga for 10 min, strength training for 20 min, free run for 10 min (1.6 miles) and free step (w/3 lb weights) for 20 mins (2388 steps) and I got a total of 10 hours in which gave me a Bronge piggy ;)

    Amber came over today and worked out today for the first time. She didn’t do to bad. Now I just need to convince her to get one and join the wii-fit workout club *LOL*

    Woo Hoo! I went down a little! Not too bad since I did eat an icecream cone today!!! :-) I tried the free step for the first time today. It was okay, but I think I like the choreographed one better. However, it was nice to switch over to the TV for a little while. So, maybe I’ll still do it sometimes! Brian has beaten my score at the ski jump- I think he got 347 this morning (while I was at work, of course). I got 314 today, but I am determined to beat him. I just need a little more practice….

    Whew after a week off I feel out of shape again! My knee is feeling better so I attempted yoga (30 min) and strength training (30 min) …no running or steps today.

    Wow, my Wii Fit age is less than my actual for the first time EVER!!! I am getting a little better at those balance games! I have mainly been doing the free step for 30 minutes while I watch some TV. That is kind of nice!

    I did 30 min of yoga and completed most of the corresponding strength workouts - 15 min worth, 5 min adv step (w 3lb weights), 10 min free run. The free run was a bad idea and my knee is crazy sore again…so maybe I’ll just stay clear from it.

    I have decided that I really like the boxing! I was really sore after doing it last week, but I really like it, so I did the expert boxing tonight. I will probably be really sore tomorrow! I also did the adv step twice because my rythym sucks and I am trying to get a higher score by being in time! LOL!

    I did 30 min of free step today (3541 steps)
    After a decent break from wii-fit - I am back…I gained a pound and a half. So that sucks but I’ll be back on track again and lose that and then some :)
