Been a few days…

Once again I am behind *bad momma* I promised to keep updating and I didn’t :/
ahh well you forgive me right?! Ok good..on to the update…

(Life) We added to the crew…a sugar glider named Marley. I adopted him off craigslist and I just love him. He has already settled in his new house. He’s a good eater and I am just so glad we have him :)

(Garden) The garden going downhill. The cucumbers are starting to slow and the vines are starting to wilt…the ‘mato’s were murdered by my dog (Sam) I tried to tell Jay he loved tomatoes *L* He broke through the fence as soon as he saw the red on them *L* and ate every single one! So still no ‘matos for me. We have a pumpkin! The sucker is huge, it’s been growing awhile but was hidden under the cucumbers - which are wilting. Also we have 3 watermelons going now *woohoo*

(Kids) Cody and Emily are becoming quite the farm helpers :) they have been helping me feed the bun’s and collecting eggs. They have so much fun doing it - which is amazing cause I’m not a huge fan but it needs to be done *L* Now if I could get them to love doing dishes I’d be set ;) Nah, they do a great job. I can’t believe Cody will be starting back school in a month. Time sure flies!

(Hobby) I made Cody and Emily several different felt sets for their felt board. I made a birthday cake one, a Christmas and Halloween one and also a clock,a tic tac toe game and the alphabet.

(Life) We had a blast at Jay’s company picnic for Bass Pro - I added a post on it because it was deserving of it’s own space *L* I have been working on our family tree - which is quite time consuming *L* but I’m happy with how far I have/am getting. We haven’t been garage sale’n in a few weeks - we kept finding the same ones *L* I have totally slacked off on Wii-Fit and need to get back into the groove. Jay put a pond in the backyard. I added some big goldfish and a few crayfish so we have something to look at *L* Jay’s baby sister is getting married Sunday - Congrats Holly ;) and I think that’s about it for news.

(Farm) The eggs in the inky were bad (ducks) non were fertile. We added some quail eggs after that but the inky got to hot and basically cooked those eggs so for not its out of service. The baby bunnies are growing big. The baby ducks aren’t so little anymore - almost big enough to eat ;) The pigeons are sitting on another set of eggs and we added 4 chukars (jay’s idea not mine!) so we’ll see what happens with them. We’ve also added 2 hamsters to the zoo *L* what next right?!

(Kids) Emily has finally moved to a booster type car seat. It’s just like Codys except Ive removed the 5 pt harness and he uses the seatbelt. Cody has been super excited lately playing his Animal Crossing game - he caught the scorpion and the tarantula. We took Cody and Emily fishing this past weekend and they caught a catfish - and later they ate it *L* So they had fun.

(Garden) The garden has been going good I guess. The cucumbers expoleded *L* I’ve harvested over 40 so far and there are a ton more growing. Just a few mato’s this year - I think the cucumbers are shading them to much. I think the plan for next year is to make it even bigger and give more room for everything.

(Hobby) I crocheted Cody a “Goomba” hat - I think it turned out good and he loves it :) Jay made the coolest rain thing - it hangs from the gutter and the rain fills the cup and waterfalls to the next - awesome!

(Website) I added a ton of pictures and a few way overdue posts.

Did someone say Kevin Costner?

Uhh yup they did. We got to watch Kevin Costner and his band play last week. Bass Pro had their annual company picnic and Kevin Costners band was our entertainment. It was soo much fun! When we got there we were each given a bass pro mug and random mugs contained a ticket for a big prize (Gun Safe for example)- we didn’t win anything. There were drink stations(maybe 6?) set up all around for free drinks (Soda,Water,Powerade) and they were giving away really good ice cream (drumsticks, snickers, bottle rockets ect) as well as hotdogs and hamburgers with all the fixin’s. They had about 30+ big blow up slides, climb walls and jump houses for the kids to play in. They had 45 or so mini games (easy kiddo games) with prizes for them to win. For the adults we had bingo - with no less than 500 prizes. I won a collapsible cooler, stadium blanket (camo of course *L*) and a big tackle box. The evening was spent chowing down on burgers and ice cream while we listened to Kevin Costner. The night ended with a bang - literally! The fireworks were amazing…way better than firefall! The kids had a blast and I had a great time to. Absolutely hands down the best company function I’ve ever been to. Thank you Johnny Morris!

I added an entire set of pictures that can be found HERE

Cause Im a GIRL!

The conversation…
Cody: I made up this game and I gathered up all the balls
Emily: But I want 5!
Cody: No - that’s more than me - we both get 4.
Emily: I don’t want 4 I want 5!
Cody: There is only 8 - so we each get 4! Why should YOU get 5 and then I only get 3?
Emily: Because I want 5…and I’m a GIRL!
Cody: Well you can have 5 this time but next time I get 5 and you get 3
Emily: No I always want 5
Cody: *uuggg* FINE! Just play already…

*lmao* poor Cody *LOL*

Oh I wish I were…

an Oscar Mayer weiner…that is what I really like to be-e-e and if I were an Oscar Mayer weiner…everyone would be in love with me!

Hahaha We found the Oscar Mayer Weeny mobile @ Walmart *LOL* So we pulled in and had Cody get a picture. Miss Emily was asleep and we all know the number one rule - NEVER wake a sleeping toddler ;) Cody wouldn’t sing the song but he did get his picture taken and was given a weeny mobile whistle.

Miss Emily bonked :(

My poor Emily. Now this happened like 3 weeks ago but I figured I should add it since everyone has questions about the pictures I added (of her boo-boo) and I didn’t blog it.

OK so my poor peanut was playing under Cody’s bed and hit the corner of his bed - poking a tiny hole and freaking me out. I was having a health issue (get into that later) and was trying to get her head to stop bleeding. Gosh head boo-boos bleed ALOT! So after awhile it looked better and wasn’t bleeding as bad BUT it was a hole that I could look into - kinda freaked me out. So I took her to the Doc and had her stitched up - just 1 in the middle. She did such a great job while he stitched it - I think I cared more than she did about it. While she was getting her stitch her only concern was getting a chocolate frosty when we left *LOL* I took pictures everyday from the office right before it got a stitch to the day the stitch was removed. Poor Peanut - the first of my kiddo’s to have to get stitches (err stitch *L*)

Warning…

OK I know I need to update this badly - and I will this weekend I PROMISE! In the meantime I wanted to share a warning with ya’ll. While at Lowes tonight - I saw this pretty water fountain thing. It had some neat-o colored LED’s and a ultrasonic fogging system. I wanted to see how big the light dealy thing was (to see if it would work in our pond) and stuck my hand in the water…now I was FINE until I hit the bottom - a metal plate. Let’s just say I felt like screaming out loud from PAIN but instead I jerked my hand out and let out a “OMFG - Ouch!” Around the 2nd “Son of …” *lmao*  I hear Jay “You didn’t just stick your hand in there did you?” Uhh yeah…ya know I did. So then he explains that the fogger thingy that turns water to mist has turned the blood in my fingers to mist - causing pain…freaking fabulous! I don’t know if he is right or not - nor do I care but they really should have some sort of warning around those damn things. It hurts like a mother f…and it lasts a good while. Once the pain goes away it’s a numbing sensation and it finally does go away in about an hour or two. You’ve been warned…never touch the metal plate in the fogger thingy!
